He is one of the amazing Program Case Managers at the Calgary Dream Centre and Dave gets to experience firsthand how our programs with horses parallel back to what their men do at the Dream Centre, and how the effects of Equine Assisted Learning truly impacts their recovery.
Dave teaches classes within the Calgary Dream Centre on rehabilitation and has a sincere passion for helping others to move forward with their lives.
He doesn’t mince words. Dave is a guy that will speak the truth and help people to get to the core of how they can develop themselves and reintegrate back into their lives.
Not only is Dave a huge inspiration to the guys, but to us too! He brings so much inspiration and knowledge to the table and we can’t wait for all of you to hear what he has to say about the relevance of these programs and what he has learned while coming out too!

What does it mean to have loved and lost?
 
Recently, we lost one of our most amazing teachers. JR was a very special horse who changed many lives. On more that one occasion, people have said, “JR saved my life.” But when her health began to decline to a point where it wasn’t fair for her anymore, we had to make the decision to let her pass on.
 
It is so hard to lose one of our family members, so how do we move forward. Not only from the loss of our horses, but friendships, marriages, or sometimes even a stranger who is just in our lives for a moment.
 
Why do people and animals enter our lives to one day leave? What do we do when they are gone? Is there a reason that they just pass through?
Join us to discuss why, sometimes, those we love are just passing through.

Our Leading Edge Founder, Jane Hemingway-Mohr, has just spent the month of May in hospital recovering from an accident and her business partner, Alice had complications following a routine operation earlier this year.
Life is full of challenges that test our resilience and resolve. For both of us, these situations cemented just how much we love what we do and how grateful we are to continue our work despite challenges that come our way. We are also so blessed to be supported by our wonderful families, friends and colleagues.
We are going to talk about life lessons and the power of resilience and positivity.

Kari Fulmek had a dream that fuelled and fulfilled everything she ever wanted in life. Stepping into her dream was easy, she just said 'YES'.

You say intrusive, she says “interested.” As a sex therapist, mental health counsellor, and coach, it’s been her love and pleasure to listen to her client’s stories and help them build their Ideal Life.

Here in Australia and in New Zealand, restrictions for getting together are easing greatly. We can even travel between the two countries. Yippee! We feel blessed. So while in-person connection will never really be replaced, it’s great we have so many tools for remote connection and working, especially as the pandemic is far from over.
