Friday Feb 23, 2024
Friday Feb 23, 2024
Jane is an expert in authentic leadership development, combining her lifelong passion for, understanding of and extensive training in everything horses with her long history of corporate leadership experience both in Australia and internationally. Over the past several years, Jane has immersed herself in the world of equine assisted learning and all that she can learn from horses about herself and others. Applying this in her leadership training brings a whole new depth and dimension to professional development.
After establishing her own performance horse facility in Sydney, Jane soon realised that there was much more to being with her equine partners than riding and ribbons. Keen to share this special insight with a broader range of people, she qualified as an Equine Assisted Learning facilitator with Equine Connection Inc – The Academy of Equine Assisted Learning, and established Leading Edge Life Skills. With the success of her own business, Jane was invited by Equine Connection to become the only certified instructor in the southern hemisphere for Equine Connection and underwent intensive training at their headquarters in Canada. Together Jane and her team – both human and horse – have hosted personal and professional development programs and workshops for literally hundreds of individuals.
Previously, Jane worked in corporate marketing and public relations in Australia, Europe, the United States and Asia Pacific. Jane was a marketing communications manager for SAP Software at their head office in Waldorf, Germany. She was responsible for the Asia Pacific region and helped launch SAP in China over 20 years ago. After returning to Australia, Jane has had various marketing and public relations roles in both corporate companies and consultancies, including Minter Ellison Lawyers, Growing Daily Public Relations and Kardan Consulting and has worked with clients from various industries including banking and finance, engineering, consumer and retail as well as not-for-profit organisations.
Jane believes that horses are the ultimate life coaches, as they provide honest, immediate and unbiased responses to individual and group energy, intention, actions and body language. She says, “Quite simply, horses help people become better humans.”

Episode 109: A Solution To Create And Maintain Feet!
Friday Nov 03, 2023
Friday Nov 03, 2023
Does your horse struggle with hoof problems or lameness issues?...
Our guest speaker, Ross Smith is a 40 year farrier who just wants to help as many horses as he can, and on that journey to help these horses, came up with a revolutionary tool to help!
Ross invented the COBIT, so that he could do a better job of helping horses. He never intended to sell the COBIT as it was for his own use.
Horses are his life and Ross has been happy being able to help horses, but he could see he was slowing down. He wasn't going to be able to help as many horses as I used to. That's when his customers convinced him that if he showed the rest of the world the COBIT and how to use it, then teach others his way of shoeing, he could help more horses than ever before.
After 40 years of shoeing Ross is continuing on his journey, and still trying to "Help as Many Horses As I Can."
Join us to find out how this tool works and hear right from the horses mouth how it can help YOUR horses too and why it is so important to ensure we are finding the centre of balance for our horses. You don’t want to miss it!

Episode 104: Guest Genevieve Nicholas talks making her biz happen!
Friday Sep 08, 2023
Friday Sep 08, 2023
Well, other than being horse mad and a little bit out there, wherever that is, Gen is a seasoned entrepreneur who has a passion for horses and being outdoors. Originally from Victoria, Australia, Gen now lives in the state of Texas, on the other side of the Pacific Pond, having made the move with her husband and two children back in 2012.
A previous franchise owner of the most successful cafe chain in Australasia, with five branches across Sydney, backed with a strong career in corporate accounting and extensive leadership experience with a global corporate company, Gen is no stranger to success.
That said, hitting her forties with a life most women could only have dreamed of Gen was uninspired and done with the corporate life. She was also done with the BS that went with it, and ready for a fresh start doing what she loved, with women who inspired her.
Her no-nonsense approach to life and getting to the ridiculousness of situations with a giggle and a stern look, is proving to be a winning formula. Working with already successful women who are ‘DONE with it all’ and looking for a lifestyle change, ready to scale their solopreneur business to the next level, Gen brings a fresh perspective, and not just because of all the time she spends outside. She gets her clients to dig deep and explore effective methods to help develop boundaries in their lives and improve communication with family, friends, and colleagues.
Her ideal clients are ladies and teen girls who love the outdoors and are ready to roll their sleeves up and muck out the old, making way for a new kick-ass life, leaping over hurdles, and relaxing with the sun going down. These ladies are in for a treat though, because not only do they get Gen to work with, but they also get to work with Gen’s co-coaches, her unicorns:
Spirit, Moose, Breeze, Pinky, and Remy.
Get is one of Equine Connection's fabulous facilitators and in this podcast talks about being new in the game and how to effectively market yourself; trying different things such as her latest Pilot Program called Discovering You and how her networking has led to client referrals for teen girls. A MUST for anyone considering this phenomenal career! https://www.saddleuplifeskills.com/
